About MeHi everyone! My name is Kathy Elmlinger and I have lived in rural Monroeville all of my life. I attended St. Joseph Elementary in Monroeville from preschool to eighth grade and was a 2006 graduate of Monroeville High School. I went on to attend Heidelberg University in Tiffin, Ohio, and in May 2010, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in early childhood education and mild/moderate intervention specialist. In December 2016, I graduated from the University of Toledo with my Master of Special Education with a concentration in early childhood special education.
In August 2010, I was hired by St. Bernard School in New Washington, Ohio as a second grade teacher, which I was for two years. I then moved to third grade for one year, then to a fourth/fifth grade split class for one year, and then finally to a third/fourth grade split class for one year. I was also the school's intervention specialist during my last three years at St. Bernard. In July 2015, I was hired by Norwalk City Schools to be the intervention specialist for grades 1-6 at Norwalk Catholic Schools and a second grade intervention specialist at Pleasant Elementary. I look forward to teaching the children at Norwalk Catholic Schools and continuing to instill the Catholic morals and values in today's youth. When I have free time, I enjoy spending time with my family which includes my parents, John and Donna; my sister, Marie; and my brother and sister-in-law, John and Megan, and their sons, JJ and Ben. Other activities that I enjoy include cooking/baking, spending time with friends, reading a good book, and traveling. I love traveling to Florida and going to Disney World to visit my favorite mice, Mickey and Minnie, and to the beach. |
